Puppy Deposit and Holding Agreement

Responsible breeders usually have a written deposit/holding agreement. 

Please note- No future Sunset Labrador litters are planned.

  1. Buyer(s) has read, understands, and agrees with the terms and policies of the Sunset Labradors Sales Agreement, Puppy Selection Policy, and Puppy Placement Policies
  2. A visit with all members of the household is required
  3. The Breeder accept a $300 deposit after the first visit if it is likely that there will be a healthy puppy that will be a good match for the family. Checks will be held for 72 hours to allow the prospective buyer(s) to change their mind(s). 
  4. No placement decisions is final until after the temperament testing results are available.
  5. The deposit reserves the puppy until he or she is 9 weeks old unless the following pick up date is agreed upon__________________. 
  6. If the check is rejected by the bank, the Buyer(s) agree to cover all fees incurred by the Breeder within 10 days from the date notification. 
  7. The deposit is nonrefundable if the puppy describe above is available and the Buyer(s) fails to complete the purchase.
  8.  The Buyer(s) understand that the Breeder has the right to terminate this agreement if there is not or may not be a puppy in the litter that is a good match for the Buyer(s) or the puppy selected for the Buyer(s) is diagnosed with serious health problem. If possible, the Buyer(s) can select another puppy from the litter. If not, the Breeder will refund, if applicable, the deposit within 7 to 10 days. 
  9. Full payment is due at the time the Buyer(s) takes possession of the puppy. Final payment must be in cash unless another arrangement is agreed upon. 
  10. The Breeder reserves the right to void this transaction and refund the deposit in full within 7 to 10 days from the date of notification if the Breeder learns of any reason that the Buyer(s) might not be a suitable match for the puppy. 
  11. This agreement shall be governed by the laws, courts, and jurisdiction of the State of New Hampshire to the exclusion of any other forum, and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. If it is necessary for the Breeder to take actions to enforce the provisions of this contract and/or defend herself, the Buyer(s) agree to pay the Breeder's court costs and reasonable attorney fees within 60 days of notification.
